Context
As part of a teaching session, Symbiome supported ISA Lille students on the fundamentals of image analysis, from data preparation to results interpretation.
Participants discovered the key steps of an image analysis pipeline: dataset building, annotation, selection of visual variables, model training and quality control.
Methodology
Introduction to an image analysis pipeline, guided exercises and hands-on practice on concrete examples.
🎓 Skills taught
Data preparation, annotation, result reading, model evaluation and implementation best practices.
The Results
This training helped students understand the methodological foundations and leave with a clear view of best practices for launching an image analysis project.
At the end of the session, students had a shared foundation for approaching an image analysis project: vocabulary, preparation steps, evaluation criteria and deployment best practices.
📈 Skills building
Students were able to connect theoretical concepts with concrete uses of image analysis in the life sciences.
